Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan: Starbucks , the world’s largest coffee giant, has appointed Indian-origin Laxman Narasimhan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), let us tell you that Laxman will replace Howard Schultz in the company. Laxman Narasimhan will join the company from October 1, and Howard Schultz will remain as interim chief until April 2023, after which he will continue as a member of the Starbucks board of directors.

Elaborating on Laxman, he also said that his deep, practical experience driving strategic transformations in global consumer-facing businesses makes him the ideal choice to accelerate Starbucks’ growth and capture the opportunities ahead of us.

The current CEO, Howard Schultz, said, “When I learned of Laxman’s desire to move, it became clear that he was the right choice to take Starbucks into its next chapter. He is uniquely positioned to shape this work and lead the company with his partner-centric approach and has demonstrated a track record of building capabilities and driving growth in both mature and emerging markets. According to the company, Narasimhan will relocate from London to the Seattle area and join Starbucks as CEO, arriving on October 1.

Prior to Starbucks, Narasimhan was a senior partner at McKinsey & Company. He is also a trustee of the Brookings Institution. Laxman Narasimhan joined Reckitt in September 2019 and became the first external candidate to hold the position at the company since its launch in 1999. Laxman Narasimhan has also held several leadership roles at PepsiCo as Global Chief Commercial Officer. Narasimhan has also served as the CEO of the company’s Latin America, Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa operations and has previously served as CEO of PepsiCo Latin America and CFO of PepsiCo America Foods.
