Jharkhand News: Even after paying electricity bill in Dhanbad, the server of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) is not getting updated. It is taking several days. In such a situation, the problems of the people have increased. People are not getting the correct information about the outstanding bill in the server of JBVNL. However, at the time of depositing the bill, the employee says that the bill will be updated in a day or two. By the way, the department claims that their system and machine are completely updated.
Consumers have complained
There is no uniformity between the bills issued by JBVNL to the customers and the data of the department’s computer system, ATP machine. Even after the bill is issued, it is not updated in the system. At the time of bill payment, the updated bill and related amount is not shown in the ATP machine. Because of this, the payment receipt given to the customers is based on the old bill. The customers have already paid this old bill. This problem is coming with the consumers of many areas including Hirapur, Purana Bazar. Consumers have also lodged a complaint with the JBVNL office. However, at the time of depositing the bill, the employee says that the bill will be updated in a day or two. By the way, the department claims that their system and machine are completely updated.
Difficulty in paying bills online
The number of consumers going to the office and paying bills is very less. Most of the people pay electricity bill online through different payment gateways. But, the updated bill and amount is not visible during online bill submission. Because of this it is not able to accumulate. Rajesh Chauhan, a resident of Hirapur, told that he pays electricity through phone pay. Many times there is a problem in payment due to not updating the bill. You have to go to the office and pay the bill.
On-spot disposal of complaints
Dhanbad Division’s Executive Engineer Shailendra Bhushan Tiwari said that on-spot redressal of complaints by the people regarding non-updation of bills is being done. People can also contact the Assistant Electrical Engineer if there is a problem of updating the bill. The billing agency has also been apprised of this problem.
