Good news for low-income families

Great news for low-income families! Now the 5G kit will be available for this group.

5G technology is gradually arriving in Brazil, and as the antennas are being installed, the internet signal is progressing.

11 capitals already have the signal, and the expectation is that, soon, more capitals will also have the signal. See here what they are and how families can get the kits!

How will 5G kits reach low-income households?

Devices that consume 5G have a high value, as it is a relatively new technology that is being implemented in the latest generation cell phones. Because of this, low-income families usually do not have access to this technology.

Due to this impossibility of many people, the Federal Government is looking for certain alternatives to grant access to 5G to people who, under normal conditions, would not have it.

The project was conceived by the transitional government of president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), but it is still only a project, that is, it is not yet being applied in reality. A survey needs to be carried out to find out which families will need the kit.

However, we already know that among the necessary requirements will be the name present in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) and some way of proving that the family lives on a low income, that is, in a state of social vulnerability.

What is 5G?

5G is the successor of the 4G signal, improving its characteristics: the speed and mobile internet connection of cell phones.

5G promises to deliver greater consistency than its predecessor, managing to generate speeds up to 100 times greater. In addition to all this, the technology is also more ecological, as it consumes up to 90% less energy.
