O Ministry of Citizenship informed this Thursday (27) that the first cycle of the Jornada do Auxílio Brasil, which is a federal government initiative that aims to train state and municipal managers linked to social assistance policies in the states and municipalities of the country, has ended.

The project had been going on since March, when it was launched by the Citizenship Department, and during its implementation it went through all the states of Brazil, promoting an environment for exchanging information, learning and experiences between technicians who apply social assistance policies and of sport, in states and municipalities, managers and special and national secretaries.

Aid Brazil Day

The executive secretary of the Ministry of Citizenship stated that the event served to evaluate the indicators and evidence, making it possible to guarantee that Auxílio Brasil is an instrument of social inclusion, since the income transfer program aims to transform the reality of families assisted and take them out of the situation of social vulnerability.

”The Federal Government develops public policy, but those who carry out these policies are the states and municipalities. This direct contact is of fundamental importance for us to understand how this is being done, in practice, and to be able to implement effective public policies that transform the lives of the families that most need shelter”

Luiz Galvão, executive secretary of the Ministry of Citizenship
