Bhagalpur: When corporation workers go to dump garbage at Kanakaithi dumping ground, local people beat them up. Municipal commissioner Dr. Yegesh Kumar Sagar said that open land boundary wall of Kankaithi dumping ground would be constructed. A few days ago, Amin of Jagdishpur Zone and Amin of the Corporation had got the measurement of the land done, whose report has been submitted by the engineer. Tender for the boundary wall of dumping ground this month and work will start next month.
Ground monitoring will be done with CCTV cameras
The Kankaithi dumping ground will have a high boundary wall and the upper part will be cordoned off with barbed wire. CCTV cameras will be installed around the ground to monitor the land. The range of the camera will be till the main road, from where the corporation’s garbage car will take a turn. A guard room will be set up for surveillance. High mast lights will be installed for lighting inside and outside the ground and up to the main road.

The five acres of Kankaithi dumping ground, where garbage is not being dumped, is now being dumped on that land. Five acres of land where garbage was dumped earlier, that garbage will be disposed of.

Regarding the matter, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Bhagalpur, Dr. Yogesh Kumar Sagar said that the open land of Kankaithi dumping ground will be fenced. The entire land has been measured. The report has been submitted by the engineer. Tender will start this month and work will start next month. Garbage that has already been dropped will be disposed of.
