Asia Cup 2022 AFG vs BAN: Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the third match of Asia Cup 2022. Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh scored 127 for 7 in 20 overs. Mosaddak Hossain played the highest innings of 48 runs. In reply, Afghanistan achieved the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Najibullah Zadran played the highest innings of 43 runs for the team. This is the second consecutive win for the Afghanistan team. Earlier Sri Lanka had been defeated. Afghanistan qualified for Super-4 with a win over Bangladesh.

In the match played in Sharjah, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bat first. Mujeeb gave the first blow to Bangladesh by bowling Mohammad Naeem (6) on the sixth ball of his very first over. He also dismissed Anamul Haque and Shakib Al Hasan. Rashid Khan took three wickets. Bangladesh team could not recover from these setbacks. Mosaddek Hossain scored the highest unbeaten 48 runs from his side.

Afghanistan did not find much difficulty in chasing the target. Afghanistan secured an easy victory thanks to Ibrahim Jardan’s 42 not out and Najibullah 43 not out. Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman took 3 wickets each for Afghanistan.
