Dhanbad News: Services have been stopped in all 19 Chief Minister Dal-Bhat Kendras operating in Dhanbad district. The administration decided to close all the center operators together. Due to this, a lot of trouble has started for the hundreds of poor people who reach these centers for food every day.
There are 19 CM Dal-Bhaat Kendras operating in different blocks of the district. Food is available at these centers at Rs 5 per plate. Apart from lentils and rice in the food, potato or ol’ sizzling and gram and soybean vegetable are available. Two to four hundred people take food per day at one centre. All the centers are run by Women Self Help Groups (SHGs).
The state government gives rice and gram and soybean
On behalf of the state government, rice and gram and soybean are allotted to the central operators. The allocation of rice depends on the number of people visiting the centres. If on an average two hundred people eat food per day at a center, then about 12 quintals of rice and gram or yosabri is given to that center by the Food, Supplies Department. This allotment takes place on one or two dates every month. Whereas in the centers where more than four hundred people eat, 21 to 24 quintals of current are given. Chana is also available up to 40 kg. The operators have to arrange for the rest of the other ingredients like pulses, potatoes and fuel. Only lunch is served at these centres.
app not working allocation not found
The operators of the Dal-Bhaat centers say that no allocation has been received till September 5. Tuesday is Karma’s holiday. They are compelled and have decided to close the centers immediately. It was said that now every transaction will be done through the app. But, no app has been developed till now. Here also the problem is arising due to non-posting of any permanent officer in the department.
